Revision Tips
The key to making revision effective is to focus, remove distractions such as your phone, playstation/xbox, as well as turning notifications off social media. Another key part of effective revision is to take regular breaks.

The first step...
The most successful students create a revision schedule to ensure that time is set aside time for work and time for rest, maintaining an effective work-rest ratio. My Virtual PE Teacher has created a template schedule that students can ustilise and adapt.

Mindmaps
To create a successful mindmap, you must establish a topic area (choose from specification). Then you must start to breakdown this area into its sub groups and continue to do this until all aspects of the topic are convered. You can get access to mindmaps in the resource folder.
Flashcards are a useful and quick revison tool, that works best to improve your A01 marks. My Virtual PE Teacher has created the 1-2-3 revison strategy for flashcards to maximise the effectivness.
1-2-3
Step 1
Memorise the cards information. Students can do this in a variety of ways including mental rehersal, making semantic cues, creating an acronym or rhyme.

Step 2
Get a parent, carer or peer to quiz you on a variety of flash cards.

Step 3
Check for areas of weakness, then establish where you have gone wrong, then return back to step 2 until you can recall 100% of your flash cards.

Watching educational specification specific videos on GCSE PE is essential to making sure you are covering the correct content.

Where can I find revision videos?
These videos are accessible in the videos folder on this website, where each topic of the AQA GCSE PE course has a specific video that explains each area in a great amount of detail.
Practice exam Q's
Practicing exam Q's should be specification specific, the AQA GCSE PE exam questions can be accessed at:

Following the completion of exam Q's use the mark scheme critically to identify areas of weakness or misinterpretation of the question.

R.A.G. the specification
You can access the AQA GCSE PE specification at:

By applying R.A.G. to each topic in the specification it ensures that the approriate time and effort is distributed based on your strengths and weaknesses.
